Now if a business entity takes a service from 11 categories of service providers, then you have to calculate and deposit the service tax to government directly.

FSIA E Circular dated 3 August 2012

The Government has liberalized the service tax compliance for the MSME units. All units with Service tax billing upto Rs 50 lakhs, may now pay on receipt basis, instead of Accrual basis of accounting. This and some other news on the service tax front are attached.
